Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clemson - Univ Area by IHG

We had a very nice room that was comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The lobby decorations for Christmas were pretty and fun. Tara is one of the Managers there, and she is terrific! She was very friendly, and pleasant. You can tell she loves her job! Thank you for a very pleasant 2 night stay!

My two stars are due to the fact that this hotel was able to accommodate us last minute with a room and also because the breakfast was decent. The woman working as the breakfast attendant was on point with keeping everything tidy and well stocked, so props to her! Other than that, our room was pretty gross. Not only was there what looked like a dead animal in our shower drain, our surface areas looked as though they had not been wiped down, and the room was really musty and had a strong odor. I left the next morning congested and with a sore throat from breathing in whatever was circulating through the air all night. I didn't stop to make a complaint on the way out because we were trying to make an appointment. I would not stay here again.

Not too bad if it's free, rooms are decent enough, could use a bigger fridge. There's definitely space for it. Front desk staff are nice, lobby area is nice with a nice deck, even though there's no view to anything except kudzu. Can't comment on housekeeping yet as they havent knocked while I've been sleeping, which is inevitable.

All the rooms in this hotel have been remodeled, and while we were there they were re-tiling the lobby floor. Comfortable beds. Decent hot breakfast. I will stay here again.

I was a little skeptical of staying at a Holiday Inn since my husband and I normally stay at nicer hotels but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of our stay. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathroom products were the Dove brand which was safe if you want to leave some toiletries at home. The breakfast (and coffee) were very good and the staff was helpful. We needed a couple of extra things during our stay and they were quick to offer their assistance. I also had left some clothes in the closet by accident and when I called the later in the afternoon after I checked out they quickly retrieved them from the room and held them at the front desk for my daughter to pick up. The hotel is under renovation so not all floors are available but there was no inconvenience or noise due
