Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago South Lansing

I arrived just after midnight after a long day of traveling and was exhausted. Upon arrival, I was a little skeptical because of the location because his hotel sits off of the main street, on a tiny cul-de-sac, just behind a car dealership. To my surprise, it was actually very nice. It was great to get into the room and see that it was clean and smelled fresh! The room was spacious, modern, and included a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig. The bed was soooooo comfortable and the blackout shades made it so cozy that I didn't want to get up! Fair warning... if you have somewhere to be in the morning, set the bedside alarm as a secondary wake-up because those beds will definitely make you consider changing your plans for a lazy day in! Me and my crew from Cincinnati had a excellent stay at the holiday inn Express in Lansing. It was the absolute best hotel stay I've ever experienced. When you first enter the hotel, it has a fresh, clean, smell. The front desk representative Ladonna provided excellent customer service. She greeted you with a warm smile, very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about her job. She made you feel welcome. Now days it's very rare that you get that kind of customer service. I really appreciated her kindness. Daniel the custodian was also very friendly, kind and helpful and professional.He even helped load some of the crew bags into the van. When planning our weekend trip for a series of high school reunion events, the Holiday Inn Express in Lansing, IL, was a no-brainer. While the location may not be the most picturesque, its proximity to Hazel Crest, South Holland, and family in Calumet City made it a perfect logistical hub. Situated right off the expressway, the hotel is surrounded by an abundance of shopping centers and restaurants, and offers the added convenience of ample, free parking—a small detail that can make a big difference. We were pleased to be greeted by a friendly, accommodating staff who were able to check us in early, setting a positive tone for our stay. Though the rooms don't offer much in the way of a view, our accommodations were perfectly clean and fully stocked with towels. All of the amenities worked

Holiday Inn Express is our favorite chain. This location is everything an HIE is supposed to be. Well-run, including a good hot breakfast.

Front desk service is great. But the guy refilling the breakfast food had one hand gloved, one hand not gloved. The only problem is that he took a finger on his ungloved hand, inserted it into his butt crack, UNDER his underwear, and scratched - fine... But then he proceeded to go open the food enslosures and handle tongs and stuff with that same hand as though he hadn't just used his ungloved hand to scratch his butt crack. Gross.
