Holiday Inn Express & Suites Buffalo Downtown - Medical Ctr by IHG

I stayed here for a few nights when I was moving to the area. I ended up needing to extend my stay at the last minute, and the staff was extremely helpful. They always greeted me when I walked through the lobby, and were genuinely friendly and welcoming. I had a nice clean suite, with a very big living area, good desk for working, and a kitchenette. Wifi was fast, and the on-site laundry room was a convenience I didn't expect to find. It's located in a very convenient area as well, especially if you are taking transit or have business to do downtown.

We stayed overnight in Buffalo and chose this hotel because of the location. We had a king room that was spacious with a refrigerator and microwave and separate small living area. It was fairly clean, but the sheets had a stain on them. My issue was the front desk person. When we arrived she was sitting with someone in the sitting area, which I had no problem with, but looked annoyed that they had to come to the desk. When inquiring about parking she nicely explained about how you have to park a couple of blocks away in a garage and walk back. We were not comfortable with this. Friends of ours had stayed the week before and told us a shuttle would follow you there and bring you back and we could see that it was parked out front with someone inside it. My go to hotel every season I go to Buffalo Sabres games. Stayed here yesterday. The staff are friendly and helpful. A walk of about:15 minutes to KEY BANK arena and :10 minutes from Sahlen Field home of the Buffalo Bisons the Blue Jays farm team.. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast and large eating area. Parking is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

Positive: I love the location of the hotel to the theater district, and I love the spacious rooms with the separate bedroom, although the quality of the furnishings is going down (broken tables, etc.). Negative: Lack of heat - we were unable to get the thermostat to work in our room, so they moved us to another room. Not working in that room either. Maintenance unable to fix either room. In all, we waited nearly 3 hours before they found us a room with heat.

great location near multiple venues, excellent food court next door. room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. complimentary breakfast was average & i had difficulty accessing the elevator with my room key. overall good experience & have another stay already booked here.
