Holiday Inn Express & Suites Brownsville by IHG

This is one of the best Holiday Inn that we stayed in. The rooms are great!! The beds are the best of all! They are so comfortable that we knocked out every time we put our head on the pillow! Jocelyn the receptionist was also amazing!! She was very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel!

The rooms are moldy and smell, and our bathroom was disgustingly dirty and had visible black mold on the ceiling. We went to our room fairly late and immediately asked to switch rooms due to the moldy smell. The second room at first seemed ok, my daughter climbed right in bed, and I went to shower. The bathroom was disgusting, and then I went into the bedroom and noticed in multiple sockets air fresheners. The scent from these caused a headache or maybe it was the mold. Do not stay here if you value your health and desire cleanliness. The staff was nice, apologized, and stated a renovation is planned.

This hotel is a bit outdated and not cousy. But still one of the best in the city of Brownsville. I like it and will stop here again next time but there a lot where to improve here. In general room is clean. Stuff is really polite, good and friendly. And the view outside is really picturesque

If I could leave a 0 star I probably would. This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had staying at a holiday in. Between the obvious smell of humidity to humid carpets to double charging me, double booking me and then double booking my room to where strangers walked into the room I am sharing with my 4 month old and 1 year old daughter it’s been just a terrible experience. The front desk girl is incompetent and in need of customer service and basic training of the position she is working. How did I get charged almost $500 but I wasn’t checked in at the same time? Do better.

This place was awful! From the moment you walk in the atmosphere is dingy and dirty looking. Elevator floors are disgusting. Moment you walk into room it smells like wet dog. I looked at ac vents to Ensure no mold-luckily none. Ceiling had dark spots, floors had several fresh stains, restroom shower was rusted, mildew….i left to go to store to buy a bottle of Clorox and wipes and cleaned the darn place. This was already paid by my workplace-couldn’t change. Ever again!!!! This was room 306
