Holiday Inn Express Starke by IHG

Exceptional Value & Modern Comfort! I had a fantastic stay here and was very impressed. The rooms are modern, very clean, and well-maintained—including the bathroom. One of the highlights was the free breakfast; it was very enjoyable with a great variety of options to choose from. The location is also convenient, being right on US 301. I paid only $78, which is a steal for the high standard of this hotel. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for quality at a great price!

Absolutely despicable. We moved from New York to Citrus County FL and arrived at 2 AM, just needed a room to unwind with four small children. We requested a crib and were given one WITHOUT A MATTRESS. When we asked for one we were told off so we left. We were there for FORTY-TWO MINUTES and the snarky desk clerk refused to refund our fee. DO NOT stay here.

My wife and I were attending an event in Gainesville over the weekend and we selected this hotel for the 4 day stay. This was our second stay at this property, the first being a single overnight stay in January. The staff was excellent, friendly, and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable as we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express venues, and we did not experience any problems during our stay. The breakfast was fresh and hot each day, the choices were good, and it was ready on time which allowed us to get to our event on time each day. I particularly like the addition of the Corned Beef Hash on the weekend days, one of my personal favorites. If I have any complaints, and I consider it minor, it would be that the coffee was a bit strong for my taste, but that like so man

They need a water filtration system!!! Ice taste like iron. Towels are like sand paper. Shower stream is very weak probably due to water filtration system needed. Breakfast is so/so. Food was cold. When asking attendant to assist he acted as if I asked him for something out of the Universe to do. Dude!!! This is your job!!! On the upside...beds were very comfortable. No tiny bars of soap. They use dove pump soap which was great. No more bar soap mess! Room was good. Quiet.

Had a wonderful stay here! The staff were super friendly and accommodating! Our room was well cleaned and we slept great. Thanks for having us overnight, we will visit again the next time our son attends encampment at Camp Blanding in the summer. 😍
