Budget Inn

Stayed here in February 2022 on a solo business trip. The chain motels in the area were wanting big bucks for the few rooms they had left on a Friday night, so I parked here on old 301 and bought a room at this place for about $60. The furnishings and amenities looked not to have been updated since the Johnson administration, there's apparently no such thing as a "non-smoking room", the parking lot and street was loud, there were many aromas of food and other items from nearby, and I discovered I was sharing the room with several other multi-legged occupants who wouldn't even split the bill with me (no bedbugs, though). But in spite of all this, I slept OK. But I don't think the rest of the family would have appreciated it.

This place looks as gross on the inside as it does on the outside. I understand that the name should explain itself, but I did expect some quality. The room is moist and filthy. There was unknown "stuff" on the walls and in still not sure if the toliet even flushed while I was there (for my 3 hour "trucker" power nap) I don't even know if I closed my eyes. The hooligans living outside were haunting me.

Owner doesn't give refunds even if you have to leave before you stay the night and he treats his poor little dog like garbage to be thrown to the curb I wanted to steal her away from him and give her the home she deserves. No water no comfy spot to lay tethered to a four inch string in 100 degree weather out front on road gravel.

So we're calling for rooms as we traveled to south Florida while stopping for food. We were told $125 but to come asap to get the room, she had our name down. We left dinner - 10 minutes later she was giving out room away for $89.00!!! |Someone was checking out so unfortunately we were able to secure a room. |To say the least, I slept with my clothes on. Room wasn't worth $89 but in a pinch when no one had a room so it was slightly better than sleeping on a picnic table.|

I checked into room 34 which is in the end by the road.i opened the room and an old musty order hit me. The A.C. was off and the room was 90+ dagrees. The restroom was like going back into the 60's with pink tiles. The opening to the shower wasn't 3 foot wide. I turned the A.C. on praying to cool the room off. The A.C. never got cold. When i removed my shoes my socks stuck to the carpet. I don't recommend the Hotel. I'm currently trying to get a refund. I wouldn't rate this place a 1 star but that's the only way to leave a comment.
