Holiday Inn Express Saint Simons Island by IHG

Just happened to come across this motel while traveling up the east coast on vacation. Two night stay. We couldn’t have been more satisfied. Upscale continental breakfast, clean rooms and lobby, and staff were extremely nice and helped. Reasonable rates as well. Best motels experience in a long time. 👍

Positive: Early check in (3pm) / late check out (11am) worked very well for me! The room was quiet and comfortable. I loved the Dove products in the bath. The breakfast was good. Staff very friendly! Overall this was a great value for my short one-night stay! Negative: No place to fill my water bottle. I was told that I could purchase a bottle of water (small one) for $3!

The service was great and so was the room. Just a couple of things to fix to make it a perfect 5 stars. The shower bottom needs a remake mine had a stain on it and some scratches and maybe a slight crack. Also maybe a small corner shelf in shower for someone to put stuff on that they use in case they can’t use yours. I know it was thanksgiving but it would have been nice for someone to check the room to make sure I didn’t need more coffee or tea for that night and the next morning. Other than that everything else was great. Will be back around Christmas.

It says in the hotel description „recently renovated“, but in the room we had on the 2nd floor it really doesn’t look like it is! Entering the room one could already smell the mold. Air-conditioning works properly, but is fairly loud. Windows are locked and cannot open. A little ocean breeze and fresh air would improve room quality. Outside pool is small and adjacent to parking lot. Feels like behind bars. Breakfast below HIE standard, not much freshness and lots of plastic. Personnel at front desk was nice, but couldn‘t solve the problem with our bill (had to wait for the manager). Not sure if we‘d come back when visiting Saint Simon Island.

Yva helped me at check in beautiful smile and very calm demeanor. I hate to admit this , but this is the cleanest holiday inn that I've stay at in a while i'm not saying that the others were dirty.I'm just saying that this one was over the top clean. Which brings me to Ms Nicole who greeted me with a smile and welcomed me to breakfast. She was very friendly and helpful to all guests she was even very helpful. To the other staff and front desk again, she had a beautiful smile and very calm demeanor. I appreciate. All the staff's hard work at this location. I look forward to spending more business trips.here
