Holiday Inn Express Cloverdale (Greencastle), an IHG Hotel

I would not recommend this hotel for several reasons. Our room cost 157 plus tax (military discount). Mold in shower (wall paper peeling). Exterior exit side door that locks from outside when exited to keep ppl out was not able to close at all, so anyone can bypass the front desk/door way even though there are cameras (its the one closest to the main entrance). In the elevator there were moving blankets covering tapped to the walls that were hung up with clothes hangers, which looked extremely cheap. In our room the dresser leg or corner had a piece of wood making it look tacky. Our bed was firm/stiff with no comfort or support. I accidentally showed up to the wrong hotel and thankfully the nice receptionist Haley was so kind to me and helped me find out where I booked my room at. I got stuck waiting on another uber so she offered me a water, some snacks, and conversation. Lord knows I felt so stupid but she made sure I was comfortable and that meant a lot to me especially on a bad day. I wasn't even a guest and was treated with great hospitality. And I heard they are renovating so thats a plus. This is where I will be booking my next stay!

My stay was great. I would recommend to friends and family. The room was clean and well stocked with everything needed. They have DIRECTV as a cable service so that was nice. Breakfast in the morning was a good selection. I didn't get the name of the lady in charge of breakfast but she had crispy delicious bacon! My only real issue was that I I had an adjoining room and I could hear that person use the bathroom and then at 4am have a conversation on speaker phone. Other than that everything was great. I was left a note on the night stand that said enjoy your stay. that was very nice as well. I didnt use the pool or hot tub but they have one indoor. I also didnt use the fitness center but they have that as well. If I would have stayed longer than over night I would have for sure

The rooms at this hotel are exceptionally clean. As someone who is always cautious about pests, I was thoroughly impressed to find my room completely spotless and bug free. This high standard of cleanliness can be a rare find, making this location an excellent choice for any traveler who prioritizes a pristine environment. The hotel also provides thoughtful amenities, like complimentary toothbrushes and toothpaste for guests who may have forgotten their own. The most delightful surprise, however, was the fantastic coffee available in the lobby each morning. They serve Costa coffee, a premium British brand that brought back fond memories of my time living in Cairo. It was a wonderful way to start the day with a delicious and much needed caffeine boost.

After a booking mishap, my partner and I were hesitant to come back to this hotel but we were glad we gave them another chance. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good and fresh, and our money was valued with their company. We will return!
