Blackhawk 2 Campground

I started camping here 3 years ago under old management and now under the new management. The people here have always been great and look out for each other and with the new management things have really started improving! With the less than 1/2 season they have owned it I have already seen more improvements than all the previous seasons of being here. I’m excited to see what is to come!

Blackhawk campground is a seasonal campground! It is like a great big family! We’ve been out here for a month or so and everyone has welcomed us with open arms! We’ve already made some great new friendships! Everyone loves to go out and have a great time! Lots of things for the kids and family to do! Multiple playgrounds, a pond to fish, a shelter house for get togethers, Poker Runs, karaoke…the list goes on! Come join our camp ground family!

We have been at this campground for 9 years. It has always been like one big family for us. As of July 2025 we have new owners and they are absolutely amazing!! The new owners as well as their family (kids and grandkids etc.) fit right in with our campground family. We have shared many campfires with them all in the last 3 months. There have already been so many improvements to the campground. And plans are in the works for more improvements. Honestly, I don't know how they keep up.

Great campground to bring your family. They have a lot of permanent spots as well as camping areas. Fun friendly but respectful. 2 minutes from the Liber State Park entrance. We stayed here for the 4th of July and they had like a 45 minute show. All of the people are so nice and definitely will be back.

My fishing partner and I needed a place to pull the camper and stay for the weekend. We had a two day fishing tournament at Lake Cataract. We found Blackhawk in passing while heading to the lake. We stopped in for the weekend and found a cool little campground right next to Cataract. Very cool people all around the campground. Talked to the owner of the campground. Which by the way, knows his stuff about fishing and loves talking fishing. Loved the place. We will definitely be back soon, next time I will bring the wife. Highly recommend!
