Holiday Inn Express Clayton (SE Raleigh) by IHG

Best thing here is restful sleep in somewhat clean quality bed. Issues are inoperative gym equipment, hit-or-miss breakfast, no laundry machines, old bathrooms and most importantly weed odor permeating entrance, lobby, and all corridors. Breakfast, some days runs out, others, well stocked. Breakfast worker is kind and efficient. Front desk people nice, but some evening employees come off as non-caring and annoyed. No acknowledgement of IHG Member status, or gift bag. All cardio machines in gym broken. Free weights and bench only.

We are always impressed with the rooms and staff of IHG, this hotel was no exception. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out we could not have had a better experience. The coffee in the lobby was excellent. The woman that made the coffee, breakfast and took care of the dining area was exceptional. IHG is blessed to have her as an employee for over 20 years that in itself says something about this hotel, company and working environment. We had a fantastic stay everything was the best of the best.

Hotel Review: Holiday Inn Express – Raleigh Area I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in the Raleigh area. Overall, my experience was decent, but there are a few things worth mentioning. The rooms are a good size and comfortable, offering enough space to move around without feeling cramped. However, cleanliness could use some improvement. While it wasn’t terrible, there were a few areas that didn’t seem as thoroughly cleaned as they should be. My biggest issue was with customer service. On more than one occasion, I found myself waiting 5 to 10 minutes at the front desk before anyone appeared to assist me. We really enjoyed the 4 days we spent at the Holiday Inn Express in Clayton! The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful (thanks Tim on front desk especially - coordinated two reservations so we didn't have to switch rooms)! Rooms are modern, clean, well decorated and equipped. Bathroom is large with plenty of room for two people. Now the breakfast area is pretty cool. Someone put a lot of thought into designing it to be easy to use, keep food fresh and hot - best breakfast area I've ever seen. The best part is a wonderful, sweet lady who keeps everything stocked, fresh, and hot. She is friendly with the guests and makes sure everyone gets what they need.|We had a great stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The room was thoughtful, comfortable and clean. Great location and close to a lot and easy access. Breakfasts were really good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was hot so it was nice to cool off at the pool. After a week when I realized I left something in the safe, I was very impressed with Sky who answered my call. She located my jewelry bag, and mailed it directly to me. Thank you! We will be back.
