Holiday Inn Express Athens

Booked a room here for work. Didn’t care what type, ended up with a double queen. Room was as-pictured; basic but modern and nice. Floor and surfaces seemed clean enough; I always bring Clorox wipes with me. Love the places to put luggage and belongings. Parking wasn’t great but breakfast was good. Only complaint I really had was the hair. I’ve grown to expect some like in the shower or something but quite a bit was present in both beds and oddly there was a pillow askew. Would stay again, just hopefully linens are kept a little better.

What a clean and comfortable facility and the staff was amazing! From the front desk person when we checked in, to the maintenance person, housekeeping, kitchen/breakfast staff, the General Manager - EVERY single person we interacted with was so pleasant, kind, professional and helpful! They all went above and beyond to do an amazing job for their guests! What a great place to stay! This was definitely one of the very best IHG properties my husband and I have ever stayed at and hope to revisit soon.

I booked a Queen Suite for myself and 4 kids for a "staycation". Mavie was super welcoming and made check-in effortless. The hotel was quiet, yet kid-friendly. ●ROOM #1: Nice clean room, however, we had a problem with our tv not working so I called the front desk. Mavie (front desk on second shift) came up and tried to fix it - she tried everything she could for nearly 20 minutes - but it wouldn't fix. Mavie went above and beyond and had us moved into a different Queen Suite in minutes! I'm so thankful that she put in the extra effort of trying to fix it herself and then moving us, to avoid any real inconvenience. MAVIE WAS PHENOMENAL! ●ROOM #2: Wonderful. We stopped here for a night while traveling home from FL. It’s a very nice hotel and very clean!! Which is a deal breaker for us when it comes to ever returning!! We’d definitely stay again if in the area. |The front desk girl was so friendly and kind. She told us that the Ruby Tuesdays down the street(which we walked too) would honor a 10% hotel discount on our purchase. So nice!!

I checked into the hotel and was notified that I was lucky that I had been allowed to rent the room because I resided within 50 miles of the hotel. Should of cancelled and left right then and there. When we get to the room we do our initial checl.that you have to do and we found a open container of chewing tobacco and a little green tooth cleaning pick with dental floss inside the pullout couch. We didn't even pull it out the was just under the cushions. The bathroom has mold behind the caulking around the edge from where the shower controls and the faucet aren't secured and can be moved with just a finger. When I called down to see if I could get a different room the phone rang 11 times before I hung up and decided this was probably the best they could offer. When I noticed staff at chec
