Hilton Ocala

Pleasant hotel, rooms are comfortable. Nothing above your average Hilton stay but still there is no reason not to stay here if the location is good for you. I have never received an upgrade at this hotel. The only real inconvenience we experienced was no Diamond parking. It is nice to be treated a little special when you stay at Hilton's as much as we do. But again, the bar is nice and the food is good.

We were getting breakfast for our last night before we checked out to head home when our plans to leave changed. I started looking for hotels deciding between using my Marriott points or paying another 150$ to stay here. We’re talking at our table when Kristina comes by and asks if we want coffee. I hesitantly say a latte because most of the time hotel lattes are not so good sometimes even when you go to a 5 star. She brings the drink out to me and I’m blown away. It was the best latte I’ve ever had a in a hotel, even beating out most of the coffee places I’ve ever been to. Mind you, Kristina has been visiting every table constantly making it presentable and interacting with every person who came in, so I stop to ask her who made my latte. Positive: Hotel employee with guest services went out of her way to help me order dinner from the restaurant since I was late checking in after driving all day in the storms on Monday! Hotel employee at the restaurant/bar was also very kind and hospitable!!! I will definitely return:) Negative: ""

Our experience was average at best, when you stay at a Hilton you expect luxury and let’s just say this property needs a renovation. 1. Bathroom fan switch didn’t work, I reported it to the front desk and was told maintenance would check it and nobody showed up. 2. The door jam was painted and so tight the door wouldn’t close without being forced. 3. The room itself smelled musty and needed to be aired out. On a positive the bar/restaurant workers were outstanding!!

Nice and elegant, Hilton style. Everything was fine except: a broken sink, a toilet that was difficult to flush, no soap in the bathroom, and no towels at the pool. The breakfast was expensive at $22 each, not varied, and low quality. Excellent, efficient, and helpful staff at the front desk. The room was clean. Thanks and happy new year!
