Hilton Garden Inn Clovis

Rooms are pretty standard for Hilton. A little dated but nice and clean. Renovations are in progress so they are keeping up the property. Now, the onsite restaurant is top notch. Understanding that it is a little limited as all garden-branded Hiltons, the food that is offered is spot on! Every meal I had there (did not try breakfast, dinner only) was perfectly cooked and well balanced. It's not a michelin restaurant so it's all pretty basic stuff, but cooked properly and just plain executed well. And for that, I give 5 stars, which I do not part with easily. Staff is super friendly as well. Good job Garden Inn! Ps, wings are on the small side so order the larger portion if wings are your choice. If I could give zero stars I would. The staff is extremely unprofessional. Ben approached me while on a phone call and my encounter with him was demeaning. I had no idea who he was or that he was even employed with this company because he has no name badge on, the women with him also had no name badge. I thought at first they were guests and messing with me. The next morning at Breakfast the women who runs the restaurant was extremely rude after I asked the price of the breakfast, I proceeded to sit down and order still after being treated poorly and while order she talked to me poorly because I asked for an over medium egg and told me the egg would be "messy," then proceeded to tell me again. My husband and I and another couple were attending a Fresno State Rodeo Team banquet. Check-in was easy. I will say that Brandon could used to be a little friendlier. Maybe that’s just his personality. We brought our medium sized dog and really enjoyed the free dog treats and available water bowls during our stay this location was under construction, but was not a nuisance to us in anyway our room was clean with nice fresh linens. Also there was a nice smell when entering the room. after we attended our banquet, we met at the bar for a couple of drinks with our friends. Our bartender was Hernan Angeles super nice guy! Very respectful and kind young man. Which you don’t find very often anymore. He is the main reason why I am writing this review, because I feel he’s a true asset to this Hilt

This hotel is great! The staff are very friendly! They offer airport shuttle service.

Just found out that this hotel only does room service every other day. There was no notice in regard to housekeeping staff not going to come into our room and you know, make the bed, add a couple fresh towels and the like. Now every morning at home when I get out of bed I make the bed, but I'm on vacation and I would expect more from a Hilton establishment. I've always stayed at this Hotel whenever I'm in Clovis because it's Central to everything that I'm here for. After about 10 years of that loyalty I'm going to find somewhere else close by. Just a heads up if you're here for an extended stay, be sure to inform someone about room service prior to leaving for the day.
