Hillside Motel

This was a nice stop for my husband and I for a couple of nights. Amanda is very welcoming and friendly. This motel is outdated but everything is functional. The bed was fine. The water pressure in the shower was awesome. Our neighbors were really loud at night, so that was a bummer but not the properties fault. There was good free coffee in the morning which was a nice surprise. Close to all the attractions and a trolly to the village. I don’t know if I’d recommend for a family but for 2 people it was fine. The bathroom was small, so we just didn’t ever shut the door. The value for money is a good deal.

My husband and I came up to Lake George for the Fourth of July weekend and checked into the Hilltop Motel on Thursday evening, checking out Sunday morning. From the moment we arrived, Amanda—the owner—was absolutely beyond fantastic. Her warmth, personality, and overall vibe truly made the place shine for us.||Owning a business and constantly traveling back and forth to California, we were long overdue for some real downtime. Hilltop was exactly what we needed—cozy, quiet, and relaxing. Positive: Location was great, bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the owner was super friendly and welcoming. Negative: The room could use some minor repairs and updates (ex. the bathroom door didn’t stay shut unless we wedged a towel in the frame to hold it)

Amanda was amazing and super cool. My kids loved her and that speaks volumes. The rooms were perfect. The service and coffee great. The property was well kept, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

You must be kidding. Kicked out prior to even seeing the room. My husband pulled off the road into the EXIT instead of the EXTRANCE. Everyone agrees on that point. There was a lady in the driveway talking with other guests that were sitting and standing in the area near their rooms. She said that this was the exit. Yes, my husband and I were VERY aware that it was the exit. We wanted to just park and check in. The lady wouldn't move out of the way. She came over to the passenger side and we had a similar discussion at the window that we had through the windshield. She let us pass and my husband finally parked the car. I did not like the lady's key-the-car vibes in the least. We made our way to the office and the lady in the driveway was the manager. She kicked us out for my attitude.
