Hiawatha Lodge & Resort

It was a packed hotel for the winter stay we were up there for. Continental breakfast was great considering what hotels could do during Covid restrictions in Jan 2021. Everything kept packaged and sanitary and I loved that I had a breakfast sandwich I could heat up in my room microwave. Rooms rustic and comfortable. Renee was very helpful during our stay. She went above and beyond for us. She made me feel like she really cared that we had a great stay. Although we do not have pets, you must like them. Pet friendly hotel.

My husband and I stayed at Hiawatha Lodge in Eagle River, Wi for the first time. We travel for our job, and thought this looked like a cozy place to stay. We were absolutely correct! The decor is done in a lodge/cabin theme. The leather furniture in the gathering area is well worn, but in a good way! The cabin theme continued through our room. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. The pillows and beds were some of the most comfortable that we've slept in, and we travel a lot! We usually stay in the typical chain hotels, and found the Hiawatha a fun change of pace. Our check-in was fast and friendly. We will be staying here again and again.

Great location in Eagle River! Have stayed here a few times now and the rooms are always clean and reasonably priced! Staff has always been very nice and willing to help with any needs. Will definitely be coming back again.

This property is like going back in time. The location is great. The furnishings and bed coverings are dated and there is ample deferred maintenance. The entrance area is dark and also serves as the 'breakfast' area and is manned about half of the time. There was no one at the front desk when I went to notify them there was no hot water at 6:00 on a Friday evening. There was a note that instructed me to call the front desk, which I did and watched and listened to the phone in front of me ring. I then left a note and about an hour later someone came to my room and told me I did have hot water but I would have to run the tub and the sink for 20 minutes in order to get it. I asked to cancel the rest of my 3 night stay but was told I would forfeit the money for the entire reservation.

It does the job just fine. The rooms are dated but they were clean and it is a great location.
