Lake Forest Resort

Just a heads up been coming to LFR since it opened in the 70's. The past 24 years I'd owned 2 weeks in the fall. Since there has been a change of ownership I decided this week to drive up and check the resort out. Lots of new docks installed . The grounds are in poor shape. doesnt look like the lawn has been mowed in a month. Leaves everywhere. Significant contrast to the past. It was a beautiful day and I only saw one condo occupied. No resort manager on site. The pictures on the website don;t paint a picture that I saw today. I'm really disappoibnted as we havent missed a fall here in 24 years. In the past there was a recreation building and a golf course. These no loger exist.

We had a great time with our week at Lake Forest. The condo was clean and comfortable as it always is. Enjoyed seeing the local deer everyday. I would recommend Lake Forest as a go to place. We have been coming up to the resort for over 20 years.

This resort is an awesome place to have some good family summer fun. It is on the chain of lakes, pier for fishing, or docking your boat, has a sandy beach, paddle boards, kayaks, and row boats to use. It has a community area for a bonfire at night. And it is relatively quiet for you to read a book. I have been coming here for the last 5 years. Many have had families coming for the last 4 decades!

Another excellent vacation at Lake Forest Resort, even the weather was was great. Sue and staff so helpful and Friendly. We love their stock of things to borrow.. didn’t have to lug up tennis rackets, bikes , minnow bucket and beach toys. My granddaughters and daughter love coming up and had such a great time.....I did also...daughter, Erin grill every night :). Family flew in from Alaska and loved everything about our stay. All 3 generations plan on coming again next year!!

Everything was great! It's on a lake, and it's near the forest! What more could you ask for!
