HI San Diego Downtown Hostel

It's not the best hostel I've been to, but also not the worst! Decent location, although definitely louder at night. I slept warm because a roommate must have turned off the window AC unit. Check-in was wonderful, very kind and professional. I appreciate having a towel included, an ensuite bathroom in the room and a privacy curtain on my bunk. The kitchen facilities have all the necessities and there's a Ralph's about ten minutes away walking. Public transportation is very convenient and getting to and from the airport is easy. Cute artwork and nice chill music.

First time staying at a Hostel. Thought it was for young university students but wide range of people stay there. Great location and breakfast is included. Price good and much cheaper than normal hotels. Clean and safe. Would stay at this hostel or others if similar. Our room had bunk beds but has a wide variety of rooms available.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of downtown San Diego, surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants. A nearby bus provides easy access to the airport. The property is well-maintained and offers pleasant amenities, including a pool table and arcade machines. However, one drawback is also its location—it’s right in the lively party area, which can lead to noise at night. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might want to consider an alternative hotel.

En suite bathroom and shower was nice. There was a portable AC unit right next to the bed. It was very loud all night. You can’t move it because it’s connected to the window with a short hose. You can’t stop it because the room will get too hot.

I loved my stay, I was in one of the private (bathroom shared) rooms and I can say that is the cleanest and quiet hostel in the area. I love all the accommodations, I hadn't had lucky to make a reservation with them before, but this time I did it and it worth it. Cheap and amazing spacious place.
