Nice RV park with super friendly staff! We didn't have our RV this trip, but the next time we do, we will definitely stay here! This trip, we stayed at a cabin down the road which did not have a washer or dryer. I stopped in to see if we could use their laundry facility. They were happy to let us. The office is open from 9-5 and can make change for the machines.
Henson Creek is an eclectic find and the oldest campground in Lake City. It is located along side Henson Creek right in downtown Lake City. Most of the campers are long-term, leaving their rigs over the winter. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and services within walking distance. The park management team is delightful and the camp store well stocked. There is a laundry on site that is clean and reasonably priced. The showers and restrooms were not as clean as they should be, some building grime, cobwebs, but had hot water. We camped here for 4 days in a 27' class A. The hook-ups were easy to access and the cable was good. Henson Creek is dog friendly. If you are looking for spacious, wide-open sites, this is not your place. If you like mountain activities, good music and one-of-a-ki
Hard to get a reservation because it's a slice of heaven but was able to pay for a shower for my brother and I. Very friendly staff will always go back.
Wonderful place for a quick shower if you're camping in the area. Their shower house is open to the public, just cost $10. This included a towel, soap and shampoo. We were not provided those amenities but we were there after hours. The shower house was immaculate, the water was HOT, and the water pressure was out of this world. It's a great spot to stop if you're camping near the area. I do believe you can also dump waste here for a few as well.
TL:DR, booking practice is defiantly weird. The original spot we booked and wanted was given to someone else and then sat empty for 50% of our stay, despite the camp ground knowing that we wanted that spot. We booked almost a month a head of our trip. When we booked there were only two spaces available, one wouldn't accommodate our rig length so that left us with the spot we wanted (20). When we arrived we were moved to a different spot (15). The spot we were offered is basically right in the road next to the bathrooms with no real space to even sit outside our camper and a light brighter than the sun.. They claimed spot 15 to be a pull through space, when in reality there is no way even a small camper could actually pull through. You have to back in. The office told us we didn't pay th
