Hemlock Hollow Hostel

It checked all the boxes for a weary AT thru hiker to have a warm place to stay out of the 20 degree snowy weather. Owner even made blueberry pancakes for breakfast. A simple one room cabin with electricity/heat, a small table, bed linens, a tv, and a bathhouse steps away outside. Warning: I had no cell signal as soon as I pulled in, the roads are narrow, winding, and dark. They do have guest wifi.

Owners where very accommodating! Nice showers and bath house! Great location! Great bunk house and private cabins as well. Friendly staff and shuttle. I would definitely recommend, prices are more than fair!!

Stayed at the Hemlock Hollow Hostel under the new owners on 8/4/25. I enjoyed the free shuttle from the Cookie Lady's driveway and stayed in the bunk house. The bed was very comfortable for a weary hiker. The hostel is located on a very special piece of property and has a very relaxing vibe. The store was stocked with a nice resupply and a freezer full of frozen pizzas, burgers, biscuits, etc. I chose a pizza and warmed it up with their pizza oven and it really hit the spot. The blueberry/apple pancakes in the morning were perfect hiker fuel. Bathhouse/shower facilities was clean with good water pressure. My only thing to offer is, maybe over time the bathhouse could be expanded to 4 separate unisex toilet/shower rooms which would double the capacity. In the bubble, I'm sure the sh

What a nice spot! We wanted something basic as we wouldn't be there much and this spot was perfect! The cabin was great, the bathhouse was clean and staff was super nice! Will be back for sure!

Stayed here two nights and the lady workin the place was super sweet (she even told me the best place to get gas nearby; DO NOT get gas in Hot Springs there is only one gas station there and it’s severely overpriced!) Overall cleanliness and functionality of the facilities were more than ideal (if you camp often you’ll know how awful some campground bathrooms are!); the bunks are decent and you get linens for them for ~$10 extra. The cabin I stayed in also came with a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, and a TV! If you like movies they have a decently sized collection in the main cabin where you check-in. The creek runs straight through the property too and this time of year in the early summer it’s super cold and clear. I think this is a perfect spot for hikers and regular camp/cabin stay
