Helendorf River Inn, Suites & Conference Center

People, that works the front desk , are very nice and accommodating. The hotel is in a very good location to downtown. But there beds are way too soft and not supportive. I have never been on a bed that soft. They did change out the beds on our last night. But they were not too much better. The rooms were clean, but to me the comfort of the beds is the main thing when staying at a motel. The price of the room was affordable. And making reservations by phone was a breeze.They upgraded our room to a balcony room, when someone cancel. Which was great. You can have a soft bed and a supportive bed at the same time. And our room was supposed to have two queen beds, but they seem like full size beds too me.I can't say if we would stay again , but the beds would definitely have to be upgraded.

The location perfect. Right in the heart of downtown and walking distance to everything. All the Christmas lights and decorations were still up and it was gorgeous at night. ||The patio with river view was awesome. The rooms were very clean. The value of the rooms was great for older couples that have AARP. It was so quiet at night. We enjoyed the individuality wrapped breakfast items and the best thing was the coffee that was available all day during business hours. The staff was super nice. Can’t find anything bad to say.

Traveling for work, had a few days off, where better to stay than in Helen at Helendorf Inn. I definitely recommend staying here. After checking rates online, I called the Inn to see if they would match prices & I can book direct - yes they will match or beat it. Daniel handled my reservation & I booked a room w view on the 2nd floor. Daniel was there when I checked in and simple check-in.The hotel is "cozy nice." Location is directly on the river right in town, everything within walking distance. There is no need to drive and pay for parking. This is not a fancy shmancy Hilton nor Hyatt, it is a over 50 year old nice & cozy, well kept up, reasonably priced wonderful Inn. Bath was nicely renovated & up-to-date & clean. Had 2 sink & mirror areas, & amenities kitchen. They can give you all

Our rooms were conveniently located close to the main strip, making all of our visit walkable in a busy town. The workers were all very kind and friendly. The exterior of the hotel could use some touch ups but was overall beautiful and a unique experience. The bed was a little hard and the pillows are very thin so I would suggest bringing your own pillow. The breakfast was enough to fill you up but make sure to go as early as possible because they will run out of food quickly. Overall great value for the price of the room.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The hotel is in the perfect location, especially if you want to walk around and explore Helen—everything is so close and convenient. The rooms were cute, cozy, and super comfy, which made it feel like a little home away from home. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which truly made the experience even better. We would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Helen!
