Hearthstone Point Campground

Good location and good access to the lake. We usually get a good site. Ive been here several times. Last year, 2025 we got a site with a bit of a ditch between the site and the road. I drove my 1993 Del Sol which is a bit low to the ground. I was scared of doing damage but thankfully I didnt. I just wish that particular site had better acces. The year before in 2024, we got a great site that was easy to park in. Im hoping for a better site this year when we return. Bathrooms are clean usually. Showers are really nice for campground showers. They are each in individual rooms with fully closing and locking doors. No curtains or stalls. Its 5 minutes from the village. Staff has always been friendly.

What a difference a year makes. This year the campground was clean, the beach, the campsite and the bathrooms were all well maintained. Even the campers were respectful- nothing like the prior summer. Thank you.

The WORST experience! If you want to bring your family, don't! If you want to sleep after a long day at the lake, you won't! I am laying here listening to people blasting music, cursing up a storm and just being disrespectful to others at the campsite. This is not just one group of campers like this, this is many! Luckily my kid sleeps through a lot but I can't and this is AWFUL! Club music, karaoke and potheads galore... DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE!

We have been coming to this campsite several times a year for the past decade and while it remains a favorite, because of its location right outside the Village of Lake George and the water access from the park, it feels like the grounds and facility maintenance has steadily gone downhill the last few years. We always stay on the loop closest to the lake where the bathrooms are a bit older (there were supposed to have been remodeled along with the others), the age of the bathrooms would not be an issue if they were even remotely clean, there was mold in the sink and NO hand soap, another camper left some in there but when that was finished there was no other soap provided, luckily toilet paper was always readily available and we had soap at our site.
