Hawthorne Motel

These people are so nice. Right on the beach with beautiful views. The room was large, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to rest your head this is it. Cottagey rather than shi-shi they have all of the amenities you need. Convenient to everything at a much better price than CBI. ||We unfortunately got locked out of our room and I had to drag the owner out of bed to get us back in. He did so all the while with a smile. |It was a great experience.

Wonderful stay! I stayed at the charming Hawthorne Motel last weekend for a wedding at the Chatham Bars Inn and had the best experience. The property was super cute, very clean, walkable to Main Street downtown and had a warm, homey feel. The views of the water/beach front were absolutely stunning and made the stay even more special. It’s a family-owned business, and Jeff and Kari—who were managing the property and working the front desk—were incredible. Kari’s kindness made me feel like I was at home (I even started calling her my Cape mom!), and both she and Jeff were so accommodating, thoughtful, and genuinely good people. If I’m ever back on the Cape, I would 100% stay here again. 10 stars for location, accommodations, & customer service. Highly recommend!

The hotel was perfect. Great location -- close walk to town and the beach. Rooms were very comfortable, clean and had everything you could possibly need -- plus beautiful views! Kari was a wonderful host. I'll be back for sure!

Perfect location to explore all that Chatham has to offer on foot, and the rest of the Cape via car. We were permitted a very early check in which extended our stay by half a day, and Jeff’s comprehensive introduction to the area saved us time and ensured we focused on the essentials. Catching the fishing boats arriving mid afternoon was a most memorable spectacle…..This is a charming and spotless “no frills” motel with a unique location in a magnificent area…..A few minutes walk into town and you will find fine dining, a lively bar scene, and shopping…..even closer is the elevated fishing pier which is a must….then the lighthouse is a little way north….all easily walkable….

Best place to stay on the Cape. Views are great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy walk into Chatham. Will definitely return next season.
