Hawk Mountain Lodge

Room was cramped with a low ceiling. Owner is the town loony. She and her family constantly smoke weed outside, so if you open your window or door at all you'll smell nothing else. Went in my room when I was out and moved things. Stay at your own risk.

We stayed in the Deerfield Room as a family of 4 for one night. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. However the air conditioning was loud and ineffective and we had a poor night’s sleep as a result. It would have been a great visit if the weather had not been so hot.

I can't say enough about this wonderful lodge and all the people who run it! My husband and I recently got married in Charlemont and we were looking for a place to rent out for guests who didn't want to camp (we did a campground wedding) or who wanted slightly more luxurious camping accommodations (cabin tents) and the Lodge was perfect for our guests who wanted a more hotel experience (aka our parents!) and us the night before the big day. The staff at Zoar/Hawk Mountain Lodge were so very accommodating and wonderful, they even let us have our small rehearsal dinner at the lodge (we grilled and sat outside at picnic tables and then had a lovely fire up on their hill), it was perfect! We had a great time staying at the lodge! The staff was very accommodating and helped us multiple times during our stay. It was a really cool place that obviously holds a lot of history, and learning a little more about Charlemont made us appreciate the lodge even more. We went out and sat by the outdoor firepit, hiked nearby trails, and had a great view of the nearby mountain from our room (Millers). It was also a great location, easy to drive to nearby towns and restaurants. ||||Thanks to Zoar and the Mountain Lodge staff for a great, relaxing, and memorable weekend.

The setting is beautiful. We went ziplining at Zoar Outdoor and my friend booked an overnight in this lodge on the same site. So glad we did! The staff were very friendly and accommodating (recommending restaurants and letting us use the house phone to make reservations because our cells didn't have any reception) I stayed in the Deerfield room. It was a cozy, well heated place on a damp Spring night. It felt like home away from home. All in all a great memory!
