Haven Montauk

Tough to Review...I had 4 hours to think about this on the way home today. Technically the hotel is good. Even the room is solid in appearance. Another reason this is rough is that I had to change the date to do a charter boat canceling last minute. They worked with me and I do appreciate that!||I arrived at 2:45pm and whileu room was ready, the kid at the desk made it seam it was an inconvenience to to check and see if it was ready. Felt odd ||I get in the room and it is nice. Better then a two star review. But....,||Bathroom (shower) was not great. See pics. Also I was fishing till 11. I asked for the room to be accessible till noon so I could shower. That was a no-go. My thoughts are, for $550 a night ...it could have been better.

My new favorite pet friendly Montauk place . Had it not rained we would have stayed another day. I loved how clean it was. You walk into the room and it smells and feels clean! White linens, simply decorated, spacious and comfortable. The rest of the hotel is just as well kept. I love that you can easily park right by your room and that the grounds are manicured nicely and it feels welcoming. The pool area is perfect for swimming or relaxing in the sun with plenty of loungers and a grass area. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. Location! You can walk to the beach and the little beachside town and they have bikes to use as well as parking passes for day use of the beach. Truly a great place to stay and I can’t wait to return. The first time we went to Haven, it way exceeded our expectations. The beauty of this hotel is that it remains consistent in everything it delivers. The rooms are impeccably clean, and the staff is always pleasant and very professional. Michelle is someone that we see every time we come to Haven, and she's one of the most refreshing faces and personalities. She's always prepared to provide us with whatever we need. Don't ever lose her. Haven is also a great location. It's walking distance from stores and restaurants. It's also a nice distance from the center of town which is about 3 mi from the hotel. I was traveling for business and the Haven had last minute availability. It is a cute little place and as others have mentioned it is in a great location. You will not have a view from your room, as others have stated it is just a gravel parking lot. However, just across the road is a little bay side beach that is great for an evening stroll to watch the sunset. A short drive away is the town where you can find dining and shops. All Mom and Pop type places. I would not say that the town is within walking distance, but it only took a few minutes to get there by car so that was a plus. We did drive into the town more than one time each day but we didn't mind. If you are looking for everything to be central, I would pick a different place. Staff Colleen kindly helped us having campfire and grilling. We had a super-fun time and nice memories, so it was a nice stay overall. Room was very clean and tidy, but the toilet was too close to the bed, which was uncomfortable. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, so I had to open the window. Very quiet and safe!
