Harlem Grand

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay in Harlem Grand. The room service was great and the communication went just fine. We also used the small (shared) kitchen for breakfast. 125 St Subway Station is a 5min walk and from there you get to Midtown pretty quickly! You can also walk to Central Park within 15min. The house itself is kinda old and traditional, which is cool, but sometimes the drain of the sink didn’t work properly and the shower took some time to get warm. But other than that everything was perfect and we recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Harlem Grand! The owner Kellyn is so sweet and personal, she welcomed us with open arms, came by to chat with us several times and gave us great advice and info about the city. It was a safe and very clean and neat hotel, in a quiet street. You hear almost no noise from the city when in your room. The subway is in close walking distance and can get you everywhere you want from there, so convenient! Very positive experience, would definitely visit again a next time!

The room had a lot of charm with its vintage style and pretty decor, but the bathroom was very old and urgently needed renovation. It was difficult to take a shower. We spent five days at the Harlem Grand, and for four of those days, we had to get used to taking cold showers or standing in stagnant water because the bathtub was clogged. Keylen welcomed us warmly and provided all the necessary information for our stay. She told us we could message her if we needed anything, but she only responded once before disappearing, which was a small disappointment. Overall, the stay was enjoyable and I really liked the vintage style. However, the price is too high for what we received, and the place really needs a complete renovation.

Extremely clean. Amazing host. Great price and location. Don't go expecting super modern rooms... this is a very unique beautiful historic house with lots of beautiful vintage furnishings. ||Wifi, tv, fridge and microwave. ||As one said in another review, you may not feel like this is the best area but do not be scared of the locals. Everyone is super nice and respectful of each other. If I ever come to New York again, I hope we will be able to stay here.

Stayed here as we booked late our trip so was one of the few hotels leftover in manhattan. Location is not great, pretty dangerous for my taste. We tried to never come back later than 9pm due to the area. Rooms were big and nice, really comfortable mattresses and good laundry services. But bathroom needs some renovation. We could hear often other guest around in other rooms as well. Owner or property manager, whoever the lady that checked us in was, seemed fine, nothing bad or good to say about her. Explained us how to move around the area and what to do. If the price would be lower, I would advise others to say here. At this price, if booked early, there are better locations and hotels in manhattan.
