Harborview Inn & Suites

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The hotel feels extremely outdated and poorly maintained. The room was not clean: stained sheets, towels with holes, and a dirty shower curtain. The bathroom door was broken and even basic essentials were missing. There was a strong unpleasant smell in the hallway, and the room had poor sound insulation — I could clearly hear noise from other rooms and from the street. Overall, the property felt neglected and far below expectations. I would not recommend it.

My wife and have stayed here often over many years. Harbor View, in our opinion is a well managed and maintained mid-priced hotel in San Diego's Little Italy district, close to the bay, freeway, fabulous restaurants and the San Diego Zoo. This hotel has four floors with views facing three directions with pleasant urban views. It is also reasonably quiet for its active urban area. The location is one of its greatest features.

Cheap and clean. No extra luxury,no big expectation. It would be nice if they serve drinking water ( for a price ) . Room was clean but corridor was a little stinky. 7/11 at walkable distance and the charm of Little Italy is just minutes away. Accecible by public bus( 5 minutes), I recommend for budget traveller. I was there on December 2025.

Positive: Location Negative: They told us not to smoke in the room but the bedsheets had cigarette burns all over. The microwave needed to be cleaned, it was very durty

The location is nice, but the roaches are nuts. I’m from CA so I know we have a roach problem here but sheesh, it’s pretty gross and bad. Killed over 10 in my small room, woke up to a couple dead in the toilet each morning as well. It’s noisy too, and just overall pretty grimey. The staff is nice and the location is decent but thats about it unfortunately.
