Hampton Inn & Suites Wheeling-The Highlands

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mark truly went above and beyond the entire weekend of our stay. From the moment we arrived, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect. He checked in with us often, anticipated our needs, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another reservation. While a few other staff interactions weren’t quite as friendly, Mark consistently stood out and completely elevated our experience. He is a true asset to the hotel, and we would absolutely return because of the exceptional service he provided.

Positive: The pool was warm and clean Negative: Not as friendly greetings and as a Hilton Honors member for nearly 20 years was not offered complimentary water or other considerations. Front desk clerk was eating food at the front desk at the time of my arrival seemed preoccupied

A “competitive rate for the area” today gets you an outdated dump that is begging for a cleaning. This was stop one on my 10 day road trip, the most expensive and the second worst of my trip. After almost 10 hours on the road I was way too tired to even care to look around. Morning comes and the light through the window show what a beauty of a property I dropped $153 dollars on. Dated dusty furniture, bugs, a clogged AC vent and a shower pan that was every color but white. Due to time constraints and being on vacation I didn’t really complain til I got home. Seeing I paid the most here really made me mad, because where’s the value? Where’s the care for my hard earned money since you can’t be bothered to clean a room. Wasn’t asking for a refund, some points would be nice or a sorry.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff! Directed to this Hampton Inn by the one in Wheeling that was booked solid and I'm so glad we were. Mark at the front desk took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. Rooms are well appointed, clean and very homey. Fitness room has various options. Can't go wrong by staying here.

We have stayed at Hampton Inns from Wis. to Maine in the last two weeks, and while all of them were very good, the one in Wheeling, WV was outstanding. From the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff to the great breakfast and the complimentary dinner on Mondays until 7:00 pm, this place went out of the way to make guests feel welcome! We highly recommend it.
