Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Wheeling at The Highlands

Whoever is answering your phones for reservations - fantastic. I just called several hotels around the area to compare prices. This one was not the cheapest, it actually doesn’t even have the number of beds available that I was looking for (because there is an event that weekend). I booked it anyway because out of everyone I talked to, this lady was so personable and friendly vs the others who just sounded like salespeople. I knew right away this was where I wanted to stay. Customer service matters.

Excellent stay for two nights at this Fairfield Inn in Wheeling. It is located surrounded by every type shopping store and restaurant you could ever hope for. It's a major shopping destination. The only downside is the area is so spread out you will need to drive between your shopping or eating establishment. Breakfast was typical free hotel breakfast with eggs, bacon, yogurt, breads, bananas and oranges or apples. There is 24 hour coffee, tea and water. Beds were very comfy, hotel staff friendly. We would stay here again. It was fun to have so many choices of food and shopping.| Not hotel related - We drove into downtown Wheeling to visit the Centre Market. It's about a 10-15 min drive. Just be aware that parking meters in Wheeling require an app - we could not find any coin operat

Positive: We liked the area near the lobby to warm up our dinner in a microwave and eat it at tables as a family. This motel was highly recommended to us by family friends. It did not disappoint. Negative: Strong smelling chemicals for cleaning

Stayed here for just one night and it was a good experience. Kimberly at the front desk was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very large and the bathroom was a decent size. The shower was decent, but the shower pan finish was peeling. I avoided standing in that part. The hotel itself is located in a good area with a lot of shopping and food options. I would consider staying here again.

I am not sure if it is Sunday morning thing or every morning event (stayed 1 night) but the breakfast of country fried steak and biscuits and gravy was one of the best breakfasts I have had at any marriot branded hotels in the United States! Room was clean and location was convient to the highway and to Wheeling, would stay again!
