Hampton Inn & Suites Palestine

Spent the night here for a work trip. The lobby was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees and music playing. No weird cigarette smell and everything seemed cleaned. Lanita (hopefully I’m spelling that correctly) had the best hospitality. She answered all my questions and was the sweetest host I’ve ever encountered at any Hampton inn. Lanita was absolutely amazing she made my whole morning I immediately came to my room to write this review about her!

We're on day 2 of our 3 night stay. The hotel is going through some renovations, but has not impacted our stay or the level of service. Everything and everyone has been great. We were provided a recently updated room. Very nice. Would highly recommend for any travelers in the Palestine are.

Positive: Employees was very nice and polite. Negative: The hotel is being remodeled but one of the elevators went out leaving only one working. So, it took awhile at times.

We stayed in April for my mother in law’s funeral. First impression was not good as the hotel was under complete renovation inside and out and the rates were very high. Things went from bad to worse. The first night my shower went from hot to cold and my husband stepped on a carpet tack where the carpet was frayed barefooted. I reported these incidents on the chat feature. I received no response. The next morning my husband reported this to the front desk. That afternoon we reported it again and added the complaint of sugar ants in our kitchen. I was informed the hotel does not have kitchens and you have to let the water run before it will be hot (although it went from hot to cold). Tell me you have problems without telling me you have problems!!! Oh my goodness, my room door just kept opening despite me shutting and locking it. Just watch the video. Multiple days my personal items were left in an unlocked room. The first night i got out of the shower to an open room, and assumed jt was my fault that i just didn’t shut it correctly, but no. This happened repeatedly. Super scary. I finally figured it out and got it on video. The hotel was dirty, very dirty. They did not change soap daily. I had to ask multiple times for more soap to be placed the next day, never done. The hotel was in disorder. There was furniture outside sitting in the lawn from the day I got there for an entire week. It makes me feel unsafe there… like is there a bed bug problem? Why are you leav
