Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando-South Lake Buena Vista

The stay was not all bad but this property truly needs to be updated. |We appreciated the free parking and they do offer larger sized “suite” rooms. Breakfast was standard but good. Staff was friendly. |The rooms are very dated. Zero usb ports in the room and no outlets at all near the beds. Both the mattress and pillows were the worst we’ve ever had from a Hilton chain. There was a broken mirror in our room, paint peeling badly from the bathroom ceiling as well as rust. |The free parking is great but we’ll look elsewhere in the future.

This hotel is very old. Upon walking into the lobby it smells so good. The room was very large but dated. The window drapes probably has never been cleaned and carpet was dirty. The bathroom shower had shower curtain and the shower walls could have stood a good cleaning. The breakfast was decent. The staff was very friendly and polite. Oh, some of the wash cloths were very dingy.

Water in the sink will not get hot, not even warm. The breakfast is a joke with warm juices, but there are cute Mickey shaped waffle irons the kids will like. I suggest Embassy Suites for a proper breakfast. Called for towles at 9 AM, at 12 PM went down to the lobby for them just to be told that the towels were being washed and they had none clean due to being fully booked. WHAT?!? NO towels just because your rooms are full? This place does not meet Hilton standards. I regret not reading the reviews prior to booking, because the negatives are all true. They desperately need and upgrade, especially getting rid of the gross carpet.

I am chaperoning a large orchestra group from out of state, here to perform & enjoy WDW. Upon check-in, the hotel staff (Cindy & Kevin) were spot on & exceptionally polite. They had all our rooms for our students ready to go & key cards ready to distribute. One of the mornings, we had to be up & at our musical workshop BEFORE the posted breakfast time, and the staff made accommodations for our kids to be fed before heading out, which is more than expected & heavily appreciated. But the "above & beyond" aspect doesn't stop there. Our first night here, I had needed distilled water for my sleep machine & the nearby convenience store didn't have any. Dwayne, the hotel's General Manager, took time to drive me to get distilled water in his own personal vehicle!! What other hotel manager can say
