Hampton Inn & Suites Harrisburg/North

I have stayed at many Hampton Inn hotels in the past fifty years. I stay there since they are always the type of hotel that you can count on being the same friendly, same offerors and amenities time and time again. I was surprised at Harrisburg North. The housekeeping staff NEVER entered our room to do any cleaning or refreshing or even emptying the trash. We stayed four days at this hotel and we were surprised. So I took our dirty towels down to housekeeping to exchange for new towels. I actually met with the housekeeping supervisor. She said that none of her staff go into any room until after the guests check out completely. If I want more supplies I need to call the front desk and ask for certain things we need and if a housekeeping staff member is available they will come to o

Positive: Large room on first floor. Conveniently located off 81. Negative: Road noise was not insignificant. Only one chair for table.

Recently had an extended stay in this hotel and wish I could give them 10 stars. The staff is what makes this hotel great! From the manager to the lady in the laundry and everyone in between, I didn't meet one that wasn't pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Many have been there a long time and each credit their manager. They take pride in their work, and it shows. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The breakfast is awesome! Wide variety of options, fresh fruit, juices and homemade waffles. My favorite was the turkey sausage as it was always cooked to perfection. The area is clean, replenished and the coffee is always fresh and hot. An extended stay can get old, but if you stay here, the staff will make it great!

Not my first time staying here. Great location. Large, clean, updated rooms. Fantastic staff! Casey at the front desk was simply extraordinary. He helped so much in fixing a small booking error that I made and got us into an accessible room which was perfect for my mom. He was a great representation of the Hampton/Hilton brand - friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area.

The walls are paper thin. We stayed on the first floor and could hear every noise and every movement in the surrounding rooms. When anyone walked above us it sounded like a WWE match. To make matters worse, the beds and pillows are not comfortable at all. We travel extensively and stay at a lot of Hamptons and this one doesn't come close to the brand standard. I have stayed in Motel 6's that were better.
