Hampton Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale West-Sawgrass/Tamarac, FL

Booked this hotel at the last minute due to flight cancelations across the nation. We are here for 3 nights. We found the hotel to be very clean, new furniture in the rooms, fully renovated! I was worried about the message regarding lobby renovations, but it was no issue, place looks great. Rooms are the best I have seen as Hampton lately! The check in process was very cordial and efficient. Sandra was very pleasant and quickly check us in.

Rohan, Michael and staff were awesome and accommodating. Me and a couple of friends were stranded in Miami due to inclement weather in our home town and our flight was delayed. We even encountered an emergency at the airport that left us a little shook. We were exhausted and needed somewhere to stay. I came upon this hotel and spoke with Rohan and he assured the check in process was smooth. He was really pleasant. I will definitely stay at this location again. BED BUGS. I was in town for a family emergency, and came back to the hotel around 9pm on Sat, Jan 24th. I went to grab my phone charger out of the bed, and there was a small insect that looks like a bedbug. Being incredibly stressed from my situation, and knowing bedbugs come with a huge implication of having deal with the possibility of throwing away all my clothes, or having to launder all my items on super high heat. As a biologist, I uploaded the photo into iNaturalist, as you can see in the photos, the date, time, and location is marked. It came back with 86% confidence that it's a bed bug. I was in town for business and I got in from my flight rather late. I was tired and not feeling all that great, but had to get some rest and prepare for a speaking engagement the following afternoon. I was hoping for a quick and smooth check-in. Not only did I receive that, I also had a very pleasant conversation with guest representative Dooshima. She was extremely competent, helpful and welcoming. She answered all of my questions with professionalism and patience, and even helped me with a nice hot cup of tea. It would be nice to encounter someone with her attributes more frequently during my travels. I also want to recognize guest representative Ana, who quickly helped me resolve a computer issue the following day. I experienced a great levels of customer service across the board.
