Hampton Inn & Suites Camarillo

I have to give a big shoutout to the staff here who have been so friendly and professional while Im staying here for the holidays. Especially Carol at the front desk!!!! This morning the power went out due to the storm and everyone that had questions she helped feel right at home and cared for. There were some difficult customers too, and yet she handled the situation with such grace and patience that it really impressed me!!! The holidays are a tough time to work and tough for a lot of people traveling, but from everyone working here I felt a true sense of community and care. Its the sort of compassion and hospitality that comes from the best and most seasoned professional hospitality workers. Happy holidays to the entire hampton staff, you all rock!!!! Also the room is nice and breakfast

Positive: Rooms were spacious. Big TV in room. Included breakfast. Negative: Parking had a fee. Water took a while to drain in bathroom sink and bathtub. Pillows were too soft. Only one elevator, which was out of service during stay. Mom had a hard time going up and down the stairs.

I recently stayed at a Hampton Inn in another city and said never again - but only because of the ridiculously hard bed. But this one had good reviews, so I figured why not try it. Here we go:||Pros: large room, mini fridge, safe area, clean, great location, nice complimentary breakfast with hot and cold options, friendly staff, room smells nice/neutral - no strong odors like they're trying to hide something ||Cons: I still don't like the bed. It is not rock hard but springy. I had such trouble falling asleep and I woke up with a tweaked back. Low quality mattress. I specifically booked a room with a microwave and mini fridge - no microwave. No channel guide/list of channels/menu on the TV itself - first world problem, I know, but hey this is an honest review. Great location and very clean rooms and hotel spaces. Staff was helpful, breakfast had lots of options, pool and hot tub were refreshing. Right off the freeway but safe & quiet. Lots of local restaurants located within walking distance too.

They charge $10 for parking that is shared with three fast food places. The outlets in my room didn’t work aside from the one in the bathroom and the one by the study desk. If you’re coming with more than one device, keep that in mind. The bathroom in my room wasn’t cleaned or stocked very well since there was pee stains all over the seat and hairs on the shower wall. Turning on the heater also made the room smell like feet. I only stayed one night, so I just bared with it.
