Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport North I85

I’m always super skeptical when staying in Atlanta close to the airport. This is why I wanted to leave a review for the common person. I did online check in so my room was assigned and ready at 4:30 pm. I didn’t arrive until 7:00. I was greeted in the lobby but went right to my room. The room is super clean with clean sheets and the bathroom is super clean. Not sure what the expectations of some are but this place is just as clean as my home. Paint is nice on the walls. No mold or mildew in the bathroom. Plenty of clean towels for the shower. In room fridge and big screen TV. I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in the Atlanta metro area, in particular the airport area, and this is by far the best. Parking is great. We stayed here while in town for a competition and experienced a serious safety issue that should not happen at any hotel. The room assigned to us had a door that did not lock properly. When we reported it, the front desk mentioned it had previously been “fixed.” I recorded a video and showed staff that the door could still be opened. This means the issue was known but not properly verified before assigning the room. We were not able to be moved that evening and had to remain overnight in a room with a compromised lock. Relocating the next morning was not realistic due to the competition schedule that brought us to town. The staff went above and beyond; they were pleasant and helpful. Smooth checkin and checkout. |They have a shuttle to and from the airport. Generous linen stock in the room. Full complimentary breakfast with lots of choices including everything bagels, scones and Earl Gray tea. |Would definitely stay again when I’m back in Atlanta

I was a little concerned about the security of parking my vehicle because of the reviews that talked about break-ins. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Atlanta police have taken action. There was a squad parked in the median on the road in front of the hotel and the squad does passes through the hotel parking lots. We felt very safe. Our room was HUGE for an airport hotel. It was clean and our beds were comfortable. We had an early flight so we were not able to partake in the breakfast, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
