Hampton Inn San Diego/Del Mar

Booked this hotel on points due to proximity/easy freeway access to where we needed to be in La Jolla. My Diamond Hilton status was recognized and we received a slightly larger King room than what we initially booked, along with a snack bag + waters. I appreciated that the parking, while not included in the price, at least was in a gated underground garage and was not outrageously priced.||Furnishings were fine, if not especially stylish. Same goes for the decor--I don't think the green accents really worked against the other colors. But the room has good functional features, including a microwave, safe and a good coffeemaker. I also liked the stand-alone shower set up with sliding glass doors and the ability to turn the water on without getting sprayed with cold water--but the rain-shower

THE HOTEL SERVICE IS VERY FRIENDLY. I LOVE THE BREAKFAST AND THAT IT HAS A LAUNDRY FACILITY ON THE PROPERTY AS WELL.

Absolutely terrible experience at this Hampton by Hilton. The front desk representative, Chantel, was extremely rude and unprofessional from the moment I checked in. I politely mentioned that I’m a Hilton Honors member, and instead of acknowledging it or offering the standard courtesy, she acted dismissive and annoyed. I experienced clear mistreatment and was not treated equally compared to other guests. Under California law, guests are entitled to equal treatment and service, and that standard was not met here. The way I was treated felt discriminatory and racist, which is completely unacceptable. There was zero appreciation for loyalty, no hospitality, and no effort to make the stay comfortable. I’ve stayed at many Hilton properties, and this was by far the worst treatment I’ve receive

The staff were incredibly helpful and patient throughout our stay. Customer service was truly 10/10. Andrew at the front desk went above and beyond for us, and we really appreciated his kindness and professionalism. I was working remotely during my stay, and the ample amount of space and access to individual work areas and outlets in the lobby made it so convenient and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast area was clean and well stocked, and the overall experience was fantastic. No complaints at all — we’ll definitely be back!

Perfect place to rest at a great value! This hotel is hyper clean, bed are comfortable, the entire staff is friendly, hot breakfast is plentiful, the weight room is well equipped, access from the freeway is easy, self parking is “affordable” at $18/day. I would definitely stay again!
