Hampton Inn Murphy

We recently stayed at this hotel and found the bedding and pillows to be very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was decent—about what you’d expect from a mid-range hotel. Nothing exceptional, but it got the job done.||That said, the rooms were noticeably outdated and extremely small, which was disappointing. The bathroom sink was clogged when we arrived, and while it was fixed promptly after we informed the front desk, it wasn’t addressed until the next afternoon. It’s the kind of issue that likely should have been caught by housekeeping before our arrival.||Overall, given the limited hotel options in the Murphy area, this hotel met our basic needs. Nice enough rooms, convenient to downtown and the casino. Bonnie at the front desk is great. Only big complaint is that they didn't do the rooms. Apparently they didn't even attempt to. Wet towels, bed just like we left it, trash cans full. For what they charge for a room, one would think that clean towels would be an absolute minimum. Additional information: spoke to the desk clerk and he said that the rooms were only cleaned every other day. No towels replaced, no bed made, no trash emptied, etc. We stayed 2 nights, so apparently cleaned at some point before we arrived and serviced after we leave. The desk clerk was kind enough to get us new towels. Poor policy and certainly not up to Hilton standards.

We stayed this past week just as they installed brand new beds throughout the whole hotel. The staff were fantastic. Bonnie, Morgan, Louise, Jessica, Lierra, & Emma were top class. Kudos to the management who hired such great staff. As an Medicare Insurance prfessional I know how hard it is to hire great staff. They succeeded. All were very friendly and eager to make our stay memorable in a positive way. The breakfast bar was equally superb. My guest was impressed. We had come up to scout my land outside Murphy for game.

I would rate this a zero if I could, this was the worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at. We had blood splatters in the bathroom, dirt walls, dirty dust ruffles around the beds. We had reserved a king bed and when we got there they could only give us two queens. The list goes on and on. But I would never recommend this for anyone to stay at, especially with the price. Hilton should be ashamed of such a hotel under their management!
