Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District

Stayed here for only one day due to the blizzard. The staff was very quick in accommodating my guests and myself in getting a room before check-in time. The room was great and spacious as it was the junior suite (had a minor issue with the door but staff was quick to fix it). Loren was an amazing staff member as he was able to help us get affordable transportation to the airport. Quiriat was also incredible as she accommodated us for the room and helped us with transportation also! 10/10 stay

Stayed 3 nights on business. I was concerned due to mixed reviews. But, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was standard for any Hampton Inn. The staff was EXCELLENT, maybe the friendliest front desk staff I have come across in a long time. The parking was a block away but explained well. Yes, the rooms are small, as are msg hotel rooms in NYC. But other than that I have no complaints, and I would definitely stay there again. There are absolutely fancier hotels with bigger rooms and more amenities...at double or triple the price. Plus, the walkability to the wonderfully modernized South Street Seaport area was great. Actually I was surprised just how much was walkable, even at night for food, coffee houses, etc...Great job!

Positive: The room was spotlessly clean. The location is excellent for visiting museums downtown and on Staten Island. Coffee at breakfast was good. Negative: Staff indifferent. No hot water. Taking a shower was like having a child squirt a cold water pistol at you. Worst shower ever. Bathroom door slider didn't work, impossible to close. Crappy portable AC, so room was warm on a hot day. Awful.

Fantastic place. First impression could be that the rooms are not modern and nothing special, but don't be fooled. It is a very good place to stay. Beds are very comfy. Staff is remarkable really! Cleaning leadies do their work daily and very well. Breakfast is very tasty, every day different things, so you can't be bored. You can eat savory goods like patties, sausages, omelettes, and sweet ones like muffins, waffles, and sweet bread. They offer fruit, porridge, boiled eggs, toppings like blueberry, strawberry 'jam' (fresh), even chopped almonds which is really not so common in other hotels. Black coffee is really good and available 24 hours a day in the lobby so this is incredible when you are back in the evening or in the middle of the day for a break from sightseeing and you can alway

We had a great stay here and would absolutely recommend this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful from start to finish. They kindly held our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready so we could go out and sightsee, and they did the same after checkout the next day, which made our trip so much easier. The night desk clerk deserves special mention — incredibly accommodating and attentive. They patiently answered all of our questions and even brought us hot water and cocoa when it ran out. That level of service really stood out. The room was small, but perfect for a Manhattan stay. It was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the room temperature stayed comfortable throughout the night, and there was minimal noise, which made for a great night’s sleep.
