Hampton Inn Manhattan-Madison Square Garden Area

We stayed as a family of 4. As a budget hotel you get everything you need to be comfortable for the night. Rooms are small but well kept and snacks are replenished frequently. Breakfast has a good variety and our boys really enjoyed the waffles. Staff were really helpful, we had an issue with our door, we reported it as we left one morning and upon our return it was fixed. Location is excellent, not far from a couple of subway stations and walking distance from Times Square. If your looking for a base to enjoy all that NYC has to offer this is a great place to do it.

Although this place wasn’t terrible, it didn’t make us want to book it anytime again soon or record to others. We usually stay in higher end places when we come to New York, but we were looking for something relatively reasonable/close to Madison Square, Gardens. We were just there for the night for a concert and wanted to a place to lay our heads. We have stayed at a number of Hampton Inns over the years when travelling with our kid’s sports teams and have had much better experiences. The lobby and breakfast area were very tired with torn upholstery in both areas. The rooms themselves were clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable enough Amenities were fine. Personal at front desk were very helpful and efficient. They also let us to leave our luggage at front desk before check in and after check out. Breakfast was excellent. Typical hotel room with very comfortable king bed and clean bathroom. Location is excellent, close to Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. It was perfect for our needs. I would love to book again when I return to New York.

We stayed at the end of December. I genuinely enjoyed my stay. While they don't have microwaves in your room they do have one in the dining area behind the lobby. It's across the street from a pretty nice grocery store. It's walking distance to Madison Square Garden of course but also the train stations, Rockefeller Center, Bryant Park and Central Park if you like a stroll. We got a later check out for free for being a Hilton Honors Member which was nice. The rooms themselves were decent for NYC. The breakfast was decent, my family enjoyed it. They also have hot chocolate packets and coffee available all night. The area is fairly quiet and you could not hear any outside noise from your room.
