Hampton Inn Leesville Fort Polk

Worst Hampton I’ve ever stayed in. Elevator wasn’t working and the place had a faint odor of sewage in my room. Five of my coworkers smelled the same thing and had worse experiences. One coworker had hairs on his bedsheets and dead bugs on the floor. They moved him to another room which also had hairs on the sheets. We all made reservations for another hotel and left the next morning. When we got to work that day, several other coworkers who stayed there complained of the same issues and found other places to stay. The biggest issue we had was that everyone of us got overcharged for our rooms. I have never left a hotel due to cleanliness, this was a first, and I am on the road 8moths out of the year. I will start with the smell when you walk in. Imagine a house flooded 6 months ago and they never did anything about it. Strong mildew and mold smell. Then the first room they put me in obviously had a fire and they just changed out the wall outlet cover and called it good, the sprinkler over the bed was still leaking. They denied there was a fire and moved me to "The only other room we have". No way someone did not spill coffee on the sheets or get murdered on them. It was nasty, and the smell in there as well. Hmmm well the location is not great. The very end of a dead end road. The hotel in front of this one is a very budget friendly hotel and has all the bring with it. The other one to the front has all the furniture that was in it laying in the yard in plain view of this hotel. Ok let's go inside. You immediately get the feeling this is a very old location without a lot of cars. Air conditioners laying in the hall way just down from the front desk. Signs for a restaurant inside the was either non everyday or just closed. Never found it. One very slow elevator working. Once you get past the lobby and downstairs hallway things start to look up. All the employees were top rated. The outdoor swimming pool needs cleaning, would not swim in it. Several outdoor lights were out. Several abandoned air conditioners units left inside on 1st floor. Been there since July. Breakfast was excellent greeted by the cook everyday.

Stayed for work, hotel refused to honour rate booked through company booking system. This was after arriving at 1AM (after phoning to say we would be), and spending more than 20 minutes phoning various phone numbers and walking around unlocked offices looking for staff.||||The staff member we found was unhelpful and at 1AM was after us signing up for a rate that was $500 a person more than the rate booked over 6 nights. We had documentation and ID proving the rate we’d booked was appropriate but neither he, nor the manager (over the phone) were bothered. This added some $1,500 to the company bill for the stay. This went on for some time until we just asked for a single night and we’d deal with it the next morning. The next few mornings, we were leaving for the day prior to the manager arri
