Hampton Inn LaPorte

This looks like a Hilton hotel but doesn't feel like you're staying at one. Like other guests have mentioned it IS dirty. The whole place needs a good deep clean. The closet in my room was full of dead bugs. I would suggest to bring it buy some cleaning supplies to clean your room. The floors in the hotel are very dirty. The floor in the pool is dirty because it's the only way to access the patio. I used to clean homes so I know the efforts that it takes, but still, it needs to be done. The staff are very kind and accommodating. They are the best thing about this place. The bed is very hard. Like hurt your ribs and make you sore hard. This makes me upset because I'm paying a lot of money to stay here and I don't appreciate waking up with sore ribs. I get that it saves money for the owner n

The customer service is good, the staff friendly. My room was pretty clean. The Internet is kinda bad, I'd lose connection frequently. The washer in the laundry was gross and the dryer didn't dry my clothes so I had to hang them up or pay to run the dryer again. My bathtub was super creaky. I've never been worried about breaking a bathtub before but this one was clearly not installed properly. My bathroom sink also drained really slow. I was also worried the fridge wasn't actually keeping my food cold enough. The view of the pond behind the hotel is nice at least.

This is an older property that had recently gone through a renovation. Rooms are nice but you do get a lot of road and slamming door noises. |Breakfast was only ok not much variety and two of the days there the eggs were not good. One day was a pre-made "omelet" that was rubber and no flavor another we had an egg patty that was not great.

Had great service. Staff was amazing and very informative about the city. Particularly Keanna, Trisha, and Kara were of great help and went beyond the call of duty to make this business stay better in the midst of a snowstorm.

Worst Hampton Inn I have ever stayed at! Our room smelled like wet dog, ac wasn't working in hallways or elevators and hardly worked in our room. Room was dirty and outdated. The entire building was a humid wet dog sauna. No fan in the bathroom to eliminate steam from the shower. Breakfast was very limited choices and took along time to stock. If we weren't staying with a group for a wedding we would have left after smelling our room. Definitely find other accommodations!
