Trust the reviews. I unfortunately booked this hotel for a very special family trip that we were taking. The trip involved us being up and out early. I had seen the hotel was "under renovation " prior to arriving, so I asked to see the room before completing the booking. It wasn't great, missing baseboards, fixtures were loose, but I figured it was only one night so it would work. I was wrong, we woke up early for our event, to not only no water but a dribble of water with what appeared to be dirt coming out of the shower and sink. No WATER!!! Never mentioned anything upon checking in that would be possible. The one thing one expects at a hotel stay is running water, wrong. I was very upset at this point, upon relaying my displeasure the front desk staff proceeded to be very condescending

Old, very old, Hampton. Clean and simple rooms. Even though bathroom has been modernized, poor water pressure and cheap fixtures. Room was ok. No frills. Antiquated elevator system to access 2 nd floor. Way overpriced

Stayed to visit family. I've always stayed here. This time they were in the middle of renovation. After 1 night they had to put me into another room. Shower or phone didn't work. 2nd room, the window shade wouldn't pull down . Had to hang a shower curtain there. Because of all the renovations, they should not be charging more than the other hotels at this time. I paid way too much money for my room under renovation. Also, the evening people were wonderful, helpful, and very nice. The morning people watched me like a Hawk. It made me feel uncomfortable. This is always been my go to hotel for the past 6 years. I don't think I'll be using this one again.

I booked my room when I pulled off the highway for the night. I did not expect the room I was given to be under renovation even though the hotel was. There was no sofa in the room but you could tell where it should go, the bathroom floor was coming up and the windows treatment was only partially done. The front desk staff was welcoming but I dont know what management thinks it's okay to sell rooms that are actively being renovated! The rooms were full price. Stay elsewhere until they finish renovations!
