Hampton Inn Danville

We picked this location more or less at random because it is halfway between home and the grandparents. We’ll definitely be back! Everyone was super friendly, the place was clean and quiet (our toddler’s meltdown about not getting to push the luggage cart at check out notwithstanding), and although the hot tub was out of service the pool was actually heated! We’ve been to so many hotels lately that say they have a heated pool and it turns out the room is heated instead of the water. The water here was 87 degrees (as we heard from a staff person who happened to be checking in on things as we were going in) and was extremely pleasant for the little ones (and us!) to swim in as a result. Maintenance issues all over the property. Worn out beds. Broken light blubs. Hot tub out of order. I booked the room based on the brand name and trip advisor score and sadly I was disappointed. The floor in the bathroom was sticky and breakfast was disorganized and not very good. Stains on the carpet in the hallways and missing or chipped paint throughout.

Positive: Location and breakfast buffet Negative: The hotel rooms are not cleaned daily. I had to take the trash and dirty towels out myself. After I complained, my room was cleaned after the second night of a three-night stay. This is below expectations, given that this hotel is 50+% more expensive

My husband and I called to book a room last minute. I had previously been told on the phone by the Super 8 next door that they would not accept my dogs because pitties were not allowed on the property 😒. Needless to say I was irritated and upset. The lady I talked to at the Hampton was amazing, she consoled me and told me they had a room and everything would be fine. We arrived for check in and everyone in the lobby loved on our fur babies, and we were given complimentary waters. Christina at the front desk checked us in super fast and said, I’ll be here all night if you need anything. Super nice lady. I think we will always be staying at Hampton Inns from now on mainly because we only travel with our dogs which I know are always accepted here. Location was phenomenal. They are tucked in t

Customer Service was top knotch! You definitely need to pay attention on where to turn to access the road to hotel. One of the older Hampton Inn locations. Needs brought up to the 2000s. Clean but could use a refresh.
