Hampton Inn Collinsville

Leslie at the front desk is a fantastic evening manager! She allowed us to use the kitchen microwave which we really appreciated. While this Hampton is a bit older, it's in great shape and we could tell that it has been updated regularly. The morning staff are all nice folks too. The morning breakfast area was great. Only a minor drawback on the room - not enough electric outlets on the left side of the king bed. We've got a lot of gadgets and CPAP machines these days ! I recommend!

Positive: BEWARE! They fraudulently stole $250 from my bank account. Mgr said GM did it, but GM not there? Said she messaged him but I?ve heard nothing back. The lack of response or communication is very disappointing for a Hilton brand hotel. Negative: BEWARE! They STOLE $250 from my bank account after check out, without any notice, for ?smoke smell?. I did NOT smoke in my room but did smoke outside & then in my car due to cold temps out. Mgr said she could verify this to GM but still no response.

Our room was wonderfully clean, and the furniture looked brand new! We always check the filters in the airconditioner, and the one here was spotless!|When I asked in advance for extra pillows in the Hilton app chat, the hotel was quickly accomodated. It was great to have the pillows already in my room when we arrived.|But the star of our visit was evening front desk clerk *Leslie Johnson*. After 6 hours on the road that day, Leslie’s warm and friendly welcome felt like my aunt was standing there opening the doors to her home. She is a treasure.

Be aware! This hotel is in the practice of overbooking their rooms and will call you less than 24 hours before you stay to tell you that they dont have a room for you... after you've had a room booked through their official app, as a hilton member and card holder. They will offer little to no recourse- in our case they offered a hotel in another town that had a higher room rate (and no discount offered at all!) Book at your own risk!

While this is an older Hampton it is very well maintained. As a higher tier Hilton Honors member I get into a lot of their properties and this one was a pleasant surprise. The man who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well stocked. The bathroom in my two-room "suite" was massive! Good checkout experience. The only nick might be the later evening staff member was poorly dressed and was not at the desk when three of us were waiting to talk to someone (for me my key has stopped working). A good hotel though and I recommend it.
