Hampton Inn College Station

This hotel doesn’t even deserve 1 star! It’s absolutely disgusting and smells! The base boards are all falling apart and wires hanging out visible in the hallways. We booked 2 queens and when got to our room it was a king and the had no other rooms available to accommodate us! Me, husband, and 15yr old daughter all had to share the bed. The bedspread had a huge tear in it. The wallpaper was lifting and splitting everywhere not to mention the bathroom door handle was broke. Room and hallways smells so bad of chemicals and cigarettes! We were there for a volleyball tournament so unfortunately we couldn’t find another hotel with availability. The price of the rooms are way too high for the grossness of the hotel. The hotel is very run down. When I tried to call the front desk I found the phone had no dial tone. My guess is they believe if the guest can’t call the front desk they’ll drop whatever they need. Instead I made my way down to talk to them and request some non feather pillows. The man behind the desk said he didn’t think they had any. He said he could call someone. Instead of using the phone at the desk he walked back and said no one answered. I responded that couldn’t be the answer, there are people who are allergic to feathers. He relayed that to whoever was on the phone and I was told there were 2 feather and 2 cotton pillows per room and he basically dismissed me at that point. Positive: The location Negative: The property seemed to be in overall disrepair and not clean. The morning breakfast was poor and the person servicing was emptying trash cans and refilling items on the buffet with no gloves or hand washing

We had 4 rooms reserved here. We got here and the place stunk. It smells of cigarette smoke. We did not even check. The nice lady at the desk understood. And per the Hampton 100% satisfaction guarantee. She said we were getting a full refund for our rooms. I look on my credit card to see we were in fact charged for the 4 rooms. I called Hampton headquarters to see why we were charged. It appears Pavon at the stinky Hampton decided to override the lady at the front desk’s decision that refund us. Pavon doesn’t know the 1st thing about customer service. Pavon, we aren’t done with you yet with corporate! Do yourself a favor people and do not stay at this location!

The only thing about this hotel that was good was the location. The hotel is in need of a serious upgrade. I always stay at Hilton/Hampton Inns and this was by far the worst sleep I have ever experienced. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The carpet was not vacuumed. The faucet dripped. The fixtures were rusted. Very few electrical plugs or no usb plugs anywhere. I did digital check in so I didn’t have much interaction with staff but the desk person was laying down in the front area when we walked in. No greeting at all. I will still choose Hilton, but I will be sure to check reviews on google prior to staying from now on.
