Exceptional service for families during a travel & medical crisis We ended up at this hotel after a múltiples flight changes, and it was the best decision we could have made. We were traveling with our young daughter and an 11-month-old baby who had just been discharged from the hospital, so we were exhausted and very stressed. The staff here is outstanding. Binta Li was incredibly empathetic and professional; she truly understood our situation and made sure we were taken care of. We also want to thank Tyreck at the front desk, who was very kind and efficient. They both made a difficult situation much easier to handle. Beyond the great service, the hotel is perfect for families: • Elevators: Unlike many NYC hotels where you wait forever, this place has plenty of elevators. It made moving a
Staff for the most part were lovely and the location is great! Clean and well presented rooms but a little small (for the family rooms). Housekeeping every other day but we were forgotten one of the days so had to ask for towels which took 40mins to get. |Breakfast isn’t worth your time, cold and no where to sit. We got told to take it away. |I’d book this hotel again purely for the location, and the rooms were clean and warm.
The king room was too small, not enough space to put a big luggage. Luggage bench wasn't provided, luggage was laid open on the bed and took out all its content to hotel drawers. The elevators, despite looked smart, but made us stuck two times during stay.Breakfast room was crowded around 8.00 am and the food quality just standard like other Hampton inn, but this hotel was better i.e. using ceramic plates and metal cutlery instead of disposable ones.
The manager, the marketing team—or whoever had the “brilliant” idea—decided to drastically lower the prices (which I saw online) just days before the date. This attracted an uncontrolled overpopulation of guests. The result was total chaos. The hotel was completely overcrowded. There were no tables available for breakfast; people cut in line without any basic manners, and getting something as simple as breakfast became a real challenge. After waiting more than 40 minutes for a table, the situation became even worse when a woman from the kitchen decided to take a microphone and, instead of speaking, started yelling, singing, and loudly celebrating “Merry Christmas.” With the dining area already packed and noisy, this was unbearable. Several guests, including us, literally had ear pain. I un
Great location for tourists, but… Although this hotel is less expensive than nearby options, I wish we had spent more money for a better experience. Our room was very musty and damp. We thought the air conditioner was malfunctioning as it would cycle on for a minute or two and then shut off, but learned that this is because the minimum temperature was locked at 68 which was about the same temperature as the outside. There is no ventilation fan to remove steam when showering, so the room stagnated. Also, at that temp with Hampton bedding, it became too warm at night. The desk offered to send maintenance to check it out, but as far as I know, that never happened. Also, the time spent waiting for elevators was unreasonable during the busy hours (once we waited 10 full minutes before deciding
