Hailstone Campground

Nice, clean campground with electric and water. Very nice, level parking, pull-through sites with level, clean cement pads for picnic table/fire pit & grill. Though ours was not, many of the sites are shaded. There are very nice, clean bathrooms throughout the campground with showers, and there is a playground that my kids enjoyed when it was too windy to be on the lake. Also, there is laundry facilities available if needed.

I don't recommend it at all. To get in, we waited in line for over 30 minutes. Then, the women collecting admission told us the place was at capacity, but they kept charging admission and letting people in. Once inside, there were no signs to enter the parking lot next to it, so we looked for the entrance only to realize we'd left the place and now had to wait in a longer line and pay again. It was a disastrous experience. We lost our entry money and ultimately couldn't enjoy the place. We decided to go somewhere else, but that wasn't our plan, and it's not fair.

Campground has water and electric hook ups, and great views. Our site was a pull through, with a lot of space. The picnic table was on a paved pad, and the fire ring was very nice. Restrooms seemed very clean. Views can't be beat. We really liked this campground.

Beautiful scenery, interesting pull through sites provides great campsite room without feeling packed in. Good affordable rates. Great clean restrooms located close to most sites. Waterfront is just plain rock, good for dog walking.

It's a beautiful place, the only problem I have is that homesteaders Homestead here to make it so other people who want to enjoy the outdoors really can't.the campsites are taken. I was lucky to get four days in one without full hookups. I tried to make reservations a few times and they were book. I had to come here to see if I could get a spot. Well luck of the draw I got a spot 1 night and had to move next day to another spot and so it is really inconvenient. I will give this place five stars for the beauty of the place. But they need to work on how many days a person can be in a camp spot. I've been here 3 days and have seen 6 camp sites in this loop that have parked Rigs or trailers there and have not seen one person at any of them. So if you want to come for the day! That's great but
