Hacienda del Rio

We stopped by for happy hour on Valentine’s Day and had such a great experience! The staff truly made it special — Dustin and Ryan were absolutely amazing. They were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The margarita was incredible (seriously one of the best I’ve had!), and they had a special on strawberry cheesecakes with chocolate sauce that was the perfect sweet treat for the occasion. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Exceptional service, great drinks, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

We booked this place for a date night out in Gruene. When we arrived we were greeted by two cheerful employees Ryan and (Q?). They offered us a complimentary welcome beverage from the bar while we checked in to our room. They both were very pleasant and helpful. The grounds/rooms were very clean and charming. After we came back from Gruene Ryan was still working behind the bar. He gave us great suggestions for local breakfast. He was the perfect host. We definitely would book here again.

We needed a last-minute place to stay in New Braunfels and stumbled upon Hacienda Del Rio — and what a find! At a time when great customer service can be hard to come by, this place truly stood out. We were greeted warmly by the front desk and even offered a cocktail while we waited for our room. The property is charming, with beautiful river views, multiple fire pits, a cozy sauna, and a clubhouse stocked with snacks. It has such a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. We’re so glad we discovered this little gem — we’ll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

I stayed at this property for a few weeks and overall had a very positive experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout my stay. The service was consistently great, and the staff were friendly. The location is also a major highlight. The surrounding area is vibrant, convenient, and made my stay even more enjoyable. The only major downside was the WiFi. Unfortunately, the connection was unreliable no matter where I was on the property. If you are planning to work remotely, attend virtual meetings, or take online exams while staying here, I would strongly recommend having a backup internet option just in case. Aside from the WiFi issues, everything else about the stay was great.
