Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging

I needed a nice getaway for a day or so …I found this gem online and booked it for one night ….which by the way turned into three nights because of how much my daughter and I loved it!! I love the fact that they are pet friendly, and their pet fee is super low compared to other places that are close by. I traveled with my daughter and my two dogs this place was perfect and exactly what I needed and what I was looking for …The location is right on point. The view is beautiful and the surroundings are very quaint and quiet. the pool is immaculate. The rooms are immaculate. The place is immaculate and the service is incredible all around I give this place five stars and I definitely will be returning. There were so few reviews so I was nervous about what to expect. Everywhere in the cape is expensive this time of year. Given that, the price was extremely fair. Our room was dated as expected, but very clean. It came with a basic coffee pot and refrigerator. The bedding was clean and the beds were comfortable. I even saw the housekeeping crew washing and changing comforters, which I assume rarely happens in most hotels. The pool was immaculate and warm. My kids swam most of the time we were there. There is a little beach, not for swimming, but nice for my dog. I think you can rent paddle boats but we didn’t look into this as we were only there 1 night. This is an older property on the banks of a saltwater pond. Our room was on the lower level overlooking the pond. It was nice that our room had this view along with an outside table and bbq grill and I can see that this could be a bonus for a family keen on keeping down costs and eating in, but who is really going to cook anything when you have a tiny motel fridge and nowhere for meal prep? And, while you might think it nice to keep the sliding door open for fresh air, the pond gives off a fairly strong pond smell that is not that refreshing. The beds and pillows were soft and lumpy, the towels were thin and scratchy. The room came with 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 0 wash cloths for a family of 4. A beautiful property with a lot of potential. Rooms are smallish but not bad. Bathroom was updated and clean, main room smelled a bit musty and like cleaning products. Outdoor space and pool are very charming and family friendly. Could just be the days but Friday and Saturday were very noisy with hours of machine (landscaping and god knows what) coming from the surrounding properties...very off-putting. Morning and night were pretty quiet and nice to sit outside

This place is a hidden gem. I come back every year. The view is lovely. Ospreys soar over the river. Shade trees shelter the lawn. It's clean and quiet. Rooms with kitchenettes available. Welcomes kids and dogs. Boat ramp.
