Customer Reviews
It was snowmobiling season so it is NOT quiet. Great views across 4th lake. Rooms are dilapidated, but mostly clean. Water in the room was not potable due to s treatment issue. Toilet leaked from a suspected bad wax ring/seal and the jacuzzi tub was filthy. We bought clorox and bleached it four times and still a ton of sticky brown scum came through. Yuck. Its the Adirondacks though. Nobody has money for maintenance and there is a serious shortage of help. The on-site tavern was good.
What a warm wintery location destination for snowmobile riders and people who enjoy simple pleasures and views. The lake views out the rooms is fantastic. They ride on the lake! The lodge has no staff but it is warm and welcoming with self serve amenities. However, the fireplace had no fire in the nicely decorated lounge with no staff on a 10 degree day. Rooms are good, comfy bed, clean but nothing over the top. They do have a skeleton crew running the restaurant and bar with tvs. It is pretty much a great stop off the trail and a good place to stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Great Pines and found it to be a peaceful and scenic retreat. The lakeside view from our room was absolutely beautiful. While the room felt a bit dated and was on the colder side, the bed itself was very comfortable.||We especially appreciated the cozy cabin-style décor. We enjoyed spending time in front of the fireplace in the main lobby — a warm, inviting space perfect for unwinding after a day out.||Breakfast was included, though the selection was limited and offered in a grab-and-go format. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Since we visited in the off-season, several of the usual amenities and services were unavailable, which we completely understand.||Overall, the setting and atmosphere were wonderful, and we’re looking forward to returning wh
The rooms are nice and the beds were super comfortable. There are firepits with wood but you are responsible for it. There weren't any people to ask a question - all of it was done via text messages including your room assignment and password code. Coffeemaker in room was an old keurig and I'm glad I brought extra pods, milk and sugar. The soap and shampoo were provided via a dispenser on the wall - no hair conditioner. We had planned to eat at the hotel but the restaurant was closed the days we were there. Also, I prefer it this way, but there's no daily cleaning of the rooms. Need towels or tp - it's in the area where breakfast is supposed to be served. Also, not great for ADA guests. We enjoyed our time there but probably wouldn't go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Great Pines Resort! The location is perfect, with stunning views that made every moment feel relaxing and special. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the entire property was quiet, clean, and peaceful. A great getaway spot – highly recommend!
