Grand Vu Lodge

Stayed here the last 5 years - Not coming back! 2nd year in a row I did not feel safe on a week stay with my son. Midway through the week, 20+ rowdy drunks show up and basically take over the resort/harbor. This last trip, they took my assigned slip one evening and with no staff ever onsite after 6:00PM, I was on my own. When I asked them to move their boat, I was surrounded by 6 very large drunk contractors from Iowa looking to fight. Not a comfortable place to be for a businessman from the Chicago suburbs and his son! Plus, for a 3rd year in a row, a putrid fish gut smell was coming from the woods just outside the resort...Already booked next year's fall trip elsewhere.

Best place we have stayed. The cabins are beautiful and the woods, majestic. Need new mattress and more cleaning.

Decent place. Not real clean. Bathroom leaked into the bedroom every shower. Beach and activity stuff for kids were great!

The rooms were decent, beds not very comfortable, takes 20 minutes to get to main road in, guy running the place needs help with personality, the kid that works the grounds is very nice though.

Northern Minnesota family/fishing resort right on Leech Lake near Walker, MN. Owners are great people with their family helping run the resort. Jeff was a service member for our country for 21 years and thank you for your service. Go and visit and relax to the sounds of the loons.
